Artificial intelligence is reshaping every country and every kind of society, at a speed without precedent in human history. It brings an enormous leap in productivity, with possibilities that seem to know no boundary—and for that very reason, it brings society an equally enormous confusion and fear. Will jobs disappear? Where does the wealth flow? What place is left for people? No one can stand apart, and different countries and different groups will meet very different fates. We study the full panorama of AI's impact: how it reshapes labor markets, income distribution, and the structure of society; why prosperity and anxiety are two sides of one coin; and how societies can find their footing amid the upheaval.

We study trade in the age of economic security: the real cost of supply-chain resilience and "de-risking," how the race for critical minerals drives great-power competition, and Asia's position and choices in a fragmenting world economy.

Well-intentioned policies do not automatically produce just outcomes. When carbon prices push up energy bills, who pays? When subsidies flow to clean energy, who is left behind? More important still: from Europe's greenlash to America's sharp retreat, climate action is ebbing worldwide—the world has entered an age of rethinking. We re-examine two decades of climate and environmental policy with empirical evidence: what actually worked, and what cost much while delivering little? Who bears the costs, who reaps the benefits—and how do people's real responses undercut the very goals of policy? To rethink is not to reject; it is how the next stage of the journey is made steadier.

When El Niño disrupts harvests across the globe and food prices push the most vulnerable toward hunger, food security once again becomes a first-order concern for the world. Using satellite remote sensing and computational methods, we monitor cropland, yields, and the shocks of extreme weather at scale—turning observations from orbit into early warning of food crises, and into evidence for agricultural policy on the ground.

How much do the richest one percent own? Where does a society's tolerance for inequality end—and past what line does a society cease to hold together? We measure the real trends of poverty and inequality through three lenses—wealth, income, and consumption—and study redistribution, social mobility, and equality of opportunity. Inequality is not only a moral question; it is a question of whether society itself can endure.

We study labor, pensions, housing, and intergenerational fairness under this demographic upheaval—perhaps the most certain, and most underestimated, variable of Asia's next thirty years.
